Knee-High Naturalists: Parent and Preschooler Outdoor Adventures A delightful way to introduce your child to the wonderful, ever-changing world of nature! The Lower Merion Conservancy and Education Coordinator Lindsay Smith invite kids ages 3-5 and their parents, grandparents, or caregivers to explore nature in an intimate outdoor setting through fun-filled sessions in the spring and fall of each year. Each 90-minute weekly session includes a hike, exploratory activities, craft, story and snack. Everyone should come prepared for outdoor play, with close-toed shoes, long pants, and layers appropriate for the weather. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Knee-High Naturalists Spring 2010 Sessions Choose Monday OR Tuesday afternoons from 1:00-2:30 Wonders of Water! June 7/8, 14/15, 21/22, & 28/29 Give a child a creek and some rocks and they'll be entertained for hours! Water is a fascinating substance in all its forms and Mill Creek provides the perfect place to discover the wonders of water. We'll build boats out of various materials, don rubber boots to search for fish, frogs and polywogs, collect sparkling rocks, hunt for crayfish, and get a little wet. Rubber boots are required for this session.
