Knee-High Naturalists: Parent and Preschooler Outdoor Adventures

A delightful way to introduce your child to the wonderful, ever-changing world of nature!

The Lower Merion Conservancy and Education Coordinator Lindsay Smith invite kids ages 3-5 and their parents, grandparents, or caregivers to explore nature in an intimate outdoor setting through fun-filled sessions in the spring and fall of each year.

Each 90-minute weekly session includes a hike, exploratory activities, craft, story and snack. Everyone should come prepared for outdoor play, with close-toed shoes, long pants, and layers appropriate for the weather.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required.
Registration:  $60/child includes materials (parent is free)

There are three ways to register:
Download, print and mail the application: Spring 2010 LMC Knee-High Naturalists Registration PDF
Or Register and pay with a credit card with our secure online registration form
Or register over the phone by calling 610-645-9030

See you this spring!

Wonders of Water!  June 7/8, 14/15, 21/22, & 28/29
Give a child a creek and some rocks and they'll be entertained for hours!  Water is a fascinating substance in all its forms and Mill Creek provides the perfect place to discover the wonders of water.  We'll build boats out of various materials, don rubber boots to search for fish, frogs and polywogs, collect sparkling rocks, hunt for crayfish, and get a little wet.  Rubber boots are required for this session.

All sessions meet in Rolling Hill Park, 1301 Rose Glen Road, Gladwyne

For more information or to register for Knee-High Naturalists: Parent and Preschooler Outdoor Adventure sessions call Lindsay Smith at 610-645-9030 or email programs@dragonfly.org
